The 5th European School on Environmental Applications of Advanced Oxidation Processes, which will be held in 2026 at the School of Industrial Engineering of the Universidade de Vigo, continues a well-established initiative promoted by the International School on Environmental Applications of Advanced Oxidation Processes (IPS-AOP). This organization promotes the event at the European level with the aim of fostering advanced training and scientific exchange in the field of advanced oxidation processes.

Destinatarios/as

The 5th European School on Environmental Applications of Advanced Oxidation Processes is primarily aimed at researchers specialized in advanced oxidation processes. However, it is also open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, environmental sector professionals, technology companies, and public policy makers.
The maximum number of participants will be 50.

 

 

Obxectivos

The main objective is to promote the exchange of scientific and technological knowledge in the field of advanced oxidation processes applied to water decontamination and environmental protection. In particular, the aims are to:
  • Present the most recent advances in AOP technologies and their industrial and environmental applications.
  • Foster scientific discussion among internationally recognized researchers.
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration between universities, research centers, and the industrial sector.
  • Support the training of young researchers, especially PhD students and postdoctoral fellows

 

 

Condicións de acceso

Once the registration form has been submitted and the application has been accepted, an email will be sent by the event organizers to proceed with the payment. Admission will be carried out according to the following criteria:
  • Priority will be given to participants belonging to the IPS-AOP school.
  • Places will be allocated on a strict first-paid, first-served basis.
  • The number of places is limited to a maximum of 50 participants

4, 5 and 6  of november 2026

Programa

The program is structured around a variety of high-level scientific activities, including:
  • Plenary lectures delivered by internationally recognized experts.
  • Poster sessions aimed at early-stage researchers.
  • Round tables and discussion groups focused on current challenges and future research directions.
  • A technical visit to wastewater treatment facilities and to Aqualia’s drinking water treatment plant in Vigo, with the aim of gaining insight into real-world applications of the technologies studied
